I was asked to paint at Cranmer park in Denver for their "Save our Sundial" fundraiser (link below). I found this tree and it brought back memories of climbing trees in my youth. This one had straight, long, horizontal branches all over it, even more than I decided to paint. It was not an especially tall tree, but it had a virtual ladder that could take you to the top and would probably allow 20 simultaneous climbers. Im sure all the youth of Cranmer Park know this one and would recognize it in this painting.
